Memorial Stones

Ashes and urns aren't aren't for everyone. Stones are a really neat alternative. They can be placed in a decorative bowl or other arrangement and kept center-stage on the kitchen table, or you can carry them with you. The possibilities are pretty endless -- they're tangible, travel-sized, and easily shared between family members.

Care instructions for stones:

Touchstones should not, in normal circumstances, require any maintenance over many, many years. Touchstones are water resistant and can be left outside in non-freezing weather. However, just like any natural stone they can weather, stain, or sun bleach over time. If you would like to clean your stones we recommend using a mild detergent and soft cloth. Wash off with cold, clean water and do not let soap or cleaner dry in. Rinse thoroughly. Harsh chemicals or colored soaps can discolor the surface. If you would like to enrich the color we recommend working in some natural coconut oil, though any natural stone safe oil or wax is acceptable.

Parting Stone

Popularized by their appearance on the TV show Shark Tank, this company makes stones from ashes that range in size from 1" to 3". The color of the stones varies naturally from person to person. Their stones will not disintegrate or dissolve in water so they are safe to be placed outside and subjected to inclement weather without concern. Turnaround time is up to 10 weeks.
